| Bolt Stumbles in London |
The world most decorated short distance athlete, Usain Bolt sprained his ankle, stumbled in IAAF World Championship 2017 in London.
The fastest man on earth felt a sharp pain on his ankle, struggled a bit before dramatically falling to the ground while trying to redeem his team, which is in the position of winning a bronze medal to possibly overrun the ambitious America and Britain's last runners to a gold medal.
Bolt who had earlier lost his gold medal chance in 100m to settle for bronze and lost another chance of bagging any medal in the 200m, stumbled on his way to finish in a medal position in 4x100m Relay.
The Jamaican lost his 100m gold medal to American Justin Gaitlin. He forfeited his 200m gold to Guliyev, a Turkish and fail to reach the end line as the final lap sprinter in the 4x100m relay to the highly motivated Great Britain & Northern Island team while the Americans clinched the silver medal.
His team mate and first leg runner, Yohan Blake, faults the organizers for their failure in London for delay. "Bolt was cold" he added.
The unparalleled 3-in-3 star, however, ended up without any gold medal in London 2017. What a surprise!
Whereas, the former World and Olympic champion had announced his plan to retire after this competition hopefully on a high note but unfortunately it is not to be.
"Will he stand on his words or stage a return?" is the question in everyone's mind. How the mighty falling.

JAMB 2017--See How to Calculate Your Points for Admission
It is no more a news that admission seekers' spirits are high over admission process after JAMB 2017. Parents and applicants are anxious to know what comes next after successfully passing JAMB that would facilitate their children admission into various institution of learning in Nigeria.
Here is a vital information that would guide your thought and possibly your next line of action.
This information is very essential for all those who sat for this year 2017 JAMB exam.
OFFICIAL JAMB GRADING SYSTEM FOR 2017/2018
ADMISSION…. FROM OUR SOURCE
JAMB SCORE GRADE POINTS
180 – 185 ——–20 points
186 – 190——–21points
191 -195———22points
196 – 200——–23points
201 – 205——–24points
206 – 210——–25 points
211 – 215——–26 points
216 -220———27 points
221 -225——–28 points
226 -230———-29 points
231 -235———-30 points
236 – 240——–31 points
241 – 245 ———32 points
246 -250———-33 points
251 -300—- (34- 43points)
300 -400——-(44 – 60 points)
WAEC / NECO O’LEVEL GRADE POINTS
1. Single sitting— 10 points
2. Combined Results–2 points
A1—————–6 points
B2 and B3———4 points
C4 – C6———–3 points
For example
Yakubu Kehinde Obinna scored 242 in UTME = 32 points
He applies for Electrical Engineering
He presents only one WAEC result=10 points
He has 1A, 2B and 2C in the necessary subjects.
1 A: 1 x 6 = 6points
2 B: 2 x 4 = 8points
2 C: 2 x 3 = 6points
His total points = 32+10+6+8+6 =62 points
He will now await the school to release the cut off point for
his course.
Now, if the point requirements for the department he is applying to, let us say in Unilorin, is 56 for instance, he is eligible for admission but it does not means that he has been admitted automatically, he still needs to wait for the school to possibly offer him admission.
Do well to follow @nurdeano on twitter for similar updates.

| Babatunde Fashola Speaking to NASS Committee |
Recall that there was a disagreement between the three-in-one minister, Honorable Minister of Works, Power and Housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola and the National Assembly over the amendment of 2017 budget that allegedly affects his ministries.
The disagreement transformed to confrontations, accusations and counter accusations between the two arms of government that led to unwarranted arguments and jibes on social media that also warranted the Senate to release a 3page statement.
However, peace and agreement was restored Friday 28 July, 2017 when the minister appeared before the national assembly joint technical committee on budget reconciliation at the NASS committee room.
The minister said he was only trying to stand for his ministries where necessary by getting back his budget in order to deliver what will benefit Nigerians as expected and that he does not intent to rubbish the NASS or incite them against the public.
Fashola apologised, he said "If you were angry with my comments, I am sorry and I apologise
100%. I am only interested in getting my budget back. Once more I am
sorry."
"I have no intention to rubbish
the NASS, The public heard my comments and they have not attacked you,
so I have no intention of incitement." he added.
His apology was accepted by the committee and they commended him as a devoted minister and an absolute gentleman.
"We have accepted your apologies and your budget as from today is restored. You are a complete gentleman." NASS Joint Technical Committee on Budget Reconciliation replied.
Now that the conflict has been resolved, Nigerians are eagerly waiting as usual for the busy minister in solving the nation's power failure problem, build adequate and affordable houses and fix the country's roads in which Apapa Lagos is a priority.

Chai! See Shocking Secret About Reekado Banks
The MavinsRecord youngstar, Reekado Banks just reveal a fact about his personal life.
The ladies and gentlemen crooner is no doubt one of the best hip hop artist in Nigeria who has been consistent since he badged into the industry.
Like the popular Nigeria saying "One thing must kill a man", Reekado said he can die for breast. He got some of my Northern brothers back on this, with their rhetorical saying that if they are not killed by sweet things, should they die of bitterness?
Reekado Banks prefer to die of sweet packages, he is human afterall.
"One thing go kill man. Na breast get me" Reekado Banks said in pidgin.
He made this comment via his twitter handle @ReekadoBanks
Nice one Reekado, we are on the sane page.

Chaos in Apapa as Police shot Tanker Driver, Banks razed
- A police officer attached to Diamond Bank, Creek Road in Apapa Lagos shot dead a tanker driver.
- Diamond, Sterling Bank set ablaze
The incident happened earlier today, Wednesday at about 9am when the police mopol asked the tanker driver to move his vehicle from the spot he parked and he refused, then the police threatened to shoot the victim and he replied that he should shoot him then the ugly incident happened as he was shot on the head.
Other reports said the police wanted to extort the tanker driver before argument ensued between them.
Tanker drivers however did not take it lightly, they ran after the officer while he ran into Diamond Bank. The mob set fire on the bank immediately in there attempt to get hold of him.
The reprisal did not end there, the mob moved to Sterling Bank, beside Diamond Bank and set fire on it too after breaking the entrance with stones and other damaging tools.
Other police officers around fled the environment for their dear life before a van of mopol arrived with sporadic gunshot. Yet, they could not restore parity.
It took the intervention of the men of the Nigerian Army, Apapa to bring back sanity into the area.
As at the time of this report, apart from the victim, there is no record of any casualty yet as much as we await the report of the Nigerian Police.

LIFESTYLE: The Ilaje People and Their Flamboyant Funeral
The Ilaje people are one of the
many dialects of the Yoruba race in Nigeria. The people speak Ilaje dialect of
Yoruba and occupy Ilaje and Ese-Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State. They can also be found in Ajegunle and
Majidun Lagos and in other riverine area across the country including Makoko. This is because
their main occupation is fishing.
The Ilajes hold burial ceremony in
high esteem that it seems to be more important than marriage, naming ceremony,
or any other good in life. Generally, Yoruba doesn’t celebrate the death of
youth, children, or any young person especially one that was survived by
parents because they believe that it is a very sad situation. Therefore, the Ilajes
only perform burial rite for an aged man or woman survived by at least a grown
child.
This rite begins from the day the
deceased gave up the ghost till the day he or she is buried. It consist of
cleaning the dead and reserving it in the mortuary, Ere Iseyinde (farewell play), having series of family meetings, and
the last stage which include church service, a mega party and finally, burial. Our
focus here is actually on the Ere
Iseyinde.
The importance of Ere Iseyinde is that it is the farewell
play used in informing the public of the unexpected news and as a performance
to celebrate the decease to the underworld. It consists of singing, drumming
and dancing to traditional songs joyously by the participants. The songs are traditional and anyone among the congregation can lead at any point that suit him and the rest of the sympathizers.
TIME: Ere Iseyinde is usually performed in the evening till anytime in the
night and possibly till dawn for seven consecutive days from the day of demise.
PARTICIPANTS: Family members,
friends, neighbors, and wishers; both men and women. Children are involved as
spectators.
INSTRUMENTS: The main traditional
instrument is a pair of foot-length bamboo stick for each person. These bamboos
are hit against themselves melodiously to the tune of songs. It is typically
accompanied with supporting instruments that include Traditional Drum, Sekere (Shaker) and Hands to clap;
together creating a percussive sound that gladdens and delights the listeners.
In conclusion, winning and dinning
is significant. Traditional foods like Pupuru
and Orugbo Soup’ will take centre stage and dominates the period. Also,
various drinks headed by palm wine are available. Non-alcoholic drinks are also
served but their intake cannot be compare to the amount of Ogogoro, gin and beers’. Trust the Ilajes, they take much alcohol
but often not to stupor because it has become part of them.

SMEs from all business, producing goods or rendering services registered and undergo a four weeks business training which focuses on how to write a presentable and marketable business plan and how to plan, write, present and defend a pitch and the legal framework of business. They were also trained about how to make their business digital and why it needed to be digital using various Google tools.
The course which was handled by professionals and facilitators in every field is known as DBAMS Module 1 Set 11.
It is a holy fact that nothing is absolutely free. However, it is pertinent to inform you that the training was successfully completed without paying any fee whatsoever. It is viewed as means of giving back to the society by the organizers who devoted their time and resources to volunteer themselves for this great opportunity.
A practical pitch presentation added glamour to the event while a group of expert criticize their presentations.
Edward Esene, senior consultant at Kinetics and Associate is one of the notable figures among the trainers.
The trainees who gained enormously from the program appreciate the organizers by presenting to them gifts which include a laptop, a printer, two A4 papers and a large projector board.
